Silent Disco

Off to a flyer!

Happy New Year! The Christmas and New Year period were as manic as always with headsets and silent disco events being run all across the UK. From Aberdeen to Aberystwyth, Brighton to Bristol we had it covered.

This January has been one of the busiest we’ve ever had. Seems our customers are realising that they need to book early to avoid disappointment. As well as Silent Disco’s at the University of Birmingham & a huge one at Home Nightclub in Lincoln we have catered for numerous private parties, nightclubs, a belated Christmas party and lots of conferences and exhibitions.

At the end of the month we were back down at Excel for the Festival of Genomics London. A fantastic event run by the guys at Clarion, one of the biggest exhibition organisers in the world. Our wireless headset system has completely revolutionised the way the show is run with no PA systems in ANY of the main 4 theatres. Just headsets. Engagement and quality of audio significantly improved for all.

Silent Seminars

ETL & ETA 2017

The partnership between Silent Noize & Silent Seminars blossomed in 2017 and is really starting to change the shape of the conference & exhibition industry. For years organisers have relied on the traditional PA format to present material to their delegates, which has thrown up numerous problems with noise pollution. In turn this has had an adverse affect on the quality of audio being presented and on customer engagement.

2 years ago we were contacted by the guys at Event Tech Live because they were experiencing these exact issues. The Old Truman Brewery is a fantastically diverse venue and offers a refreshing alternative to many of the old style conference & exhibition venues in and around London. However the warehouse structure and concrete floors can cause a real problem when you’re trying to present multiple audio streams in one room, and trying to get people to engage with content on a busy show floor. So the team behind Silent Noize & Silent Seminars were brought in to help solve the problems and have now become an integral part of the event providing headsets on all 5 stages at the 2017 show.

The feedback at the show was again fantastic with many people commenting how much better the quality of the audio was on the live stages. We also had some great meetings with potential customers. Looks like we’ll be seeing many more headsets at conferences and exhibitions in 2018.

After the show we hot footed it down the road to the Troxy for the Event Tech Awards 2017. We were lucky enough to be shortlisted for 2 awards this year! Our Scottish partners at Silent Seminars came down, kilts and all to meet up with the guys south of the border and a fantastic night was had by all. We were joined by Helen Curl of Clarion and it was lovely to be able to share the evening with one of our most valued customers. Unfortunately we didn’t win but it was an honour to be shortlisted amongst some fantastic companies. Few sore heads the next day too!!

Plans are already under way for Event Tech Live 2018 and with our new products currently in development we hope to be shortlisted again next year and this time to win!!

Night at the Museum

WOW what a night! Our sold out Silent Disco at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery was incredible.  A massive thanks to everyone who came and partied with us. DJs Nick Morgan, Jerome Prosser and Peachy took to the stage in the impressive Edwardian Tea Rooms – a venue truly like no other and the most unique one we’ve ever put a party on in. I don’t think the staff there had ever seen anything quite like it!

The new UV headsets were out in action and got a great response from everyone.

Our next event with Le Club Fondue is on March 9th @ The Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath and we are in talks with a few unique spaces in Birmingham for our big one next summer so hold tight for news on that one! We’re already booked back in for another amazing 3 channel Silent Disco in Birmingham at the museum on Nov 24th 2018 – stay tuned for details on that one 🙂

Headsets for Exhibitions

Silent Seminars launches in the USA

Here at Silent Noize we’re always looking to diversify our products and expand into new markets and with our sister company Silent Seminars that is exactly what we’ve been doing! We now have a fantastic 24 channel headphone system available to help combat noise pollution issues in busy conference & exhibition venues.

“Our philosophy is simple – reducing noise

improves communication & engagement.

To ensure the best results, we use headphones.

October was an incredibly proud month for us as we launched Silent Seminars in the USA @ The Festival of Genomics Boston. An event we did in London earlier in the year, working for some forward thinking conference organisers at Clarion, we were lucky enough to be invited to do the American leg of the show due to the success in London.

The conference is made up of 3 main presentation areas which previously used the traditional PA speaker set up to allow the delegates to hear the live seminars and presentations that take place throughout the conference. The problem was that all over the venue there were noise clashes. Each presentation had to be timed around the one next door to ensure that people could hear the material being presented and the exhibitors on the show floor were not disturbed. That is until we came along, stripped out the PA systems and replaced them with our pioneering Slient Conference headsets!

The feedback has been phenomenal and we’re already booked in to do the Festival of Genomics, London 2018. We’re looking forward to taking the USA by storm next year.

Nov sees us shortlisted for 2 awards at the Event Technology Awards in London so we’ve got everything crossed for that one. Stay tuned 🙂

University Ball at Trinity College

You Shall Go To The Ball!

When you think of university balls and proms, you probably think of lovely dresses, corsages, music, food and dancing. But why not throw a silent disco into the mix?

With alumni from all walks of life, studying all sorts of different subjects, it’s important that these events include something for everyone. While the silent disco can take centre stage at a lot of our events, we like to think of it as the ‘icing on the cake’ at these sorts of dos.

We’re currently in the midst of ‘prom season’ just take a look at some of the photos from our most recent University silent discos at: St John’s May Ball– Oxford, Christ Church Ball– Oxford, Trinity Commemoration Ball– Oxford, The Founders’ Ball– Bristol, Queens’ May Ball– Cambridge, The King’s Affair– Cambridge and Hughes Hall May Ball– Cambridge- very happy customers indeed!

The party really and truly is just getting started, we’ve got a tonne of University silent discos lined up for the rest of the year. We’ve catered for events with nearly 800 students in attendance!

So if you’re thinking about 2018 University parties already, we’re happy to oblige with awesome DJs, spectacular lighting and other top quality silent disco equipment. Click here to contact us.

Give Noise Restrictions The Silent Treatment

As a company that provides hire equipment and DJs, we’re no stranger to the confinements of noise restrictions. Every venue needs to comply with noise restriction levels set out by your local council. This could prove particularly problematic if you’re having a wedding reception/corporate event in a residential area or any sort of outdoor event.

One of the solutions of course, is to keep the noise down and to end your celebrations early. But what if you’re not ready to hang up your dancing shoes? We have the solution, a Silent Disco!

Our 3 channel headsets eliminate the problem by providing a unique, musical experience. You still share in the experience of listening to up to 3 DJs or bands playing at the same time, in the same room, without the worry of upsetting the neighbours.

Whilst our headphones pipe in high quality beats, it’s still important to know the venue’s noise restriction policy when hiring. If you’d like to talk to one of our team about your celebration or conference, please contact us today!

Silent Disco Wedding

Goin’ To The Chapel?

With Wedding Season well and truly upon us, it’s plain to see why we LOVE our jobs! Working with happy couples about to tie the knot is an exciting thing and to be involved in such a special, momentous occasion is incredible! Here are a few pictures we’ve collected over the years:

You may have seen us exhibiting at The National Wedding Show in previous years and wanted to know what we’re all about. We’re Silent Noize Events and we specialise in silent disco equipment hire throughout the UK. We have up to 3000, 3 channel headsets available for hire and our packages start from just 25 headsets. So no matter how big or small the big day is, you can rest assured that everyone will be entertained.

Due to noise restrictions, many wedding parties have to end early. With a Silent Noize silent disco you can carry on the celebrations into the early hours of the morning without disturbing anyone. One of the biggest advantages of a silent disco, is that it can take place virtually anywhere (indoors/outdoors) and set up is minimal, with very low power requirements.

But don’t take our word for it, read some of our testimonials, or drop us a line and see how we can help you out. And we don’t just specialise in providing Silent Disco equipment hire for weddings. We can also loan you our talented DJs (fully equipped) and personalised, added extras such; as lighting equipment and smoke machines!

No two weddings are ever the same. Your big day will be as unique as you are. Trust us. We know what we’re talking about!
