Q: Where are Silent Noize Events based?
A: We’re based in Birmingham, UK but have supplied and delivered equipment all over the world!
Q: Do I need to pay a deposit to make a booking?
A: Yes, a deposit of 50% upfront is needed to secure a booking, but there is NO security deposit required.
Q: How much does a silent disco cost?
A: That’s up to you- dry hire starts from as little as £105, just add a location and friends and you’ve got a silent disco!
Q: What is a ‘Dry Hire’?
A: A dry hire is a way to describe our simple headphone and transmitter hire without any extras such as music, DJs, PA, lighting etc. This is an option in case you already have any of these things in place for your party.
Q: Where can I have a silent disco?
A: Literally anywhere! The beauty of a silent disco is that it can take place absolutely anywhere. All you need is some power and you’re good to go.
Q: Can we hire music from Silent Noize Events?
A: Yes, pre-set playlists are an option if you have certain music in mind but don’t have time to set up a playlist, we also provide full packages including DJs, lighting and music to cover all 3 channels.
Q: Does a silent disco work at a wedding?
A: Absolutely! They are a fantastic and unique way to entertain your guests and with the 3 channel option you’ve got enough choice to please everyone. They really do help to get everyone up on the dance floor and to make your wedding truly memorable.
Q: Do the silent disco headphones work with hearing aids?
A: Yes they do, our headphones are completely compatible with hearing aids and we have hosted parties for those with hearing impairments previously.
Q: Are the headphones safe for children and babies?
A: Our headphones are lightweight, padded, have volume limiters and volume adjustment. We know how important it is to protect our eardrums and our staff will check the volume of the headsets before handing them over.
Q: Do you offer any ‘extras’ to make the silent disco stand out?
A: We have a range of extras available including a fantastic interactive text/twitter screen, lighting DJ packages, photographers and photo booths.
Q: What happens if I break something?
A: Our headphones and transmitters are extremely sturdy and hard to break however if our headphones are damaged beyond repair unfortunately they are chargeable.
Q: Can I connect an iPod/Laptop to Silent Noize Events equipment?
A: Yes. You can also use your own DJs- just make sure you’re connected to our transmitters and you’re good to go!
Q: Do I need to set everything up myself?
A: You can either ‘dry hire’ the equipment and set it up yourselves using our very easy to follow set up instructions or you can book a package with a technician included. We are on the end of the phone 24/7 if you need any assistance.
Q: What range do the transmitters have?
A: Up to 100m but some of our headphones actually reach further.
Q: Can I play the music from my laptop, iPod, phone, tablet etc without a DJ?
A: Yes you can use any audio equipment to play the music and the simplest way is to plug in iPods, laptops etc with playlists on them.
Q: Are Silent Noize Events an environmentally friendly company?
A: Yes we are, we use Battery Back to recycle our batteries, use a couriers, as opposed to delivering in our van as much as possible. We use a hybrid vehicle for drop offs/collections and have reduced our carbon footprint hugely by switching to digital documentation.

Q: What sort of devices can I connect to Silent Noize Events equipment?
A: You can use any audio equipment to play the music and the simplest way is to plug in your mp3 player, ipod, tablet, phone, laptop, etc. You can also use your own DJ equipment (or hire from ourselves) – just make sure you’re connected to our transmitters and you’re good to go!
